children. We begin recorder instruction in the second semester of third grade.
Students in grade four continue using their recorders in general music classes.
Since these instruments must be placed in the mouth, it is necessary for each student
to purchase their own instrument and music. White recorders are $5 and may be
purchased in the music room. A limited number of colored recorders are also
available for $5 and may be purchase on a first-come, first-served basis. Books are
available for $2. Students should remember to bring recorders and music to school
and class on the days they attend music.
