Dear Parents:
There are several things you can do to help your child “discover” his/her singing voice. One is talking about the
differences in talking, yelling, whispering, and singing voices. Help them hear the differences in these voices and give
them opportunities to use each one.
Another way to help is by encouraging your child to make sounds like sirens, neighing horses, puppies, kittens, etc.
These are high sounds that encourage a child to cross into a proper singing range rather than always using a
speaking voice.
We will continue to work on these skills in class. I really appreciate your interest in helping your child. With your help
and the extra time you can devote to this matter, they will master this skill quickly!
Thank you!
